This Was like No Other

Bu Başka Bir Şeye Benzemiyordu

The morning was not like any other morning…
The routine could not be the same as usual…
It was different...

He felt like an empty sack.
If they let him, he could stay in bed all day.
He thought a walk in the cold weather would do him good.
He needed to change his clothes, have breakfast, and leave.
But it wasn't happening.
Everything felt heavy that day.
He couldn't take anything in.

His hunger didn't make him feel better.
The tea he drank was stuck in his throat.
He looked at the fork he held with a blank stare.
He couldn't stop himself from checking the news on his phone.
But he couldn't take any pleasure in it.
There was a window from what he saw to what he didn't see.

Some were being oppressed.
Some were suffering.

The pain the oppressor wanted to inflict was different.
The sorrow of the oppressed was different...

The pleasure the oppressor took from oppression was different.
The pride of the oppressed was different...

One was hiding behind all their power,
While the other was relying solely on their faith...

One's ambition for victory
Was fading away in the other's tranquility...

This was unlike anything else.

The oppressed had a smile against the oppression.
The oppressor couldn't handle this.

A person with a purpose…
"Do your worst.
I am confident with my life purpose," they said.

You took my home, wasn't that enough?
You left me hungry,
You made me experience deprivation,
You robbed, battered, and tortured me,
You left my husband, wife, mother, father, brother, uncle, and aunt under bombs.
You killed my children, my baby.
Did you want to leave me an orphan and alone?
Could you?

This Was like No Other

In the midst of so much trauma,
He didn't want to be anywhere else.
Running away? It didn't cross his mind.

There was a purpose,
It was very solid.
There was a common language, a common life goal.
The children spoke differently. There was a different stance.

Those raising them knew with what purpose they needed to raise them.

It was something that made one envious,
That brought one to their senses,
That made one ashamed,
And that aroused curiosity...

The one oppressed was different. The one learning the lesson was different...

The oppressor had insults, slander.
The oppressed said, "You will not see the reflection of that slander in me."

Can you have the strength to take what you want?
How can you take what is not in you, what will not remain in you?
They said…

And This Was like No Other

It wasn't as it seemed.
The one left hungry was different, the one who was hungry was different.

The one who wanted to disrupt peace had no peace, only comfort.
The one whose comfort was disrupted had much peace.

The one who appeared strong was different.
The real strength was in someone else.
Where did this certainty come from?

The oppressors thought they were the owners of power.
They didn't understand the true owner of power…
And they didn't know the justice of the true owner of power...

Zalimler iktidar olduklarını sanıyorlar, kazanacaklarını sanıyorlar...
    Gücün gerçek sahibini anlamıyorlar...
Ve iktidarın gerçek sahibinin adaletini bilmiyorlar...
Kaybediyor gibi görünen mazlumlar mutlaka kazanacaktır...
Kazandığını sanan zalim, gerçekte elbette kaybedecektir...
